Summer Beats


Oh Hai! How’s everyone?

Yesterday’s workout was a nice 40 minute run, then off to work! I was in Memphis last week for work, I’ll be sure to catch all of you up on the shortly. I got back home to Nashville Saturday evening and J got back in from the road on Sunday evening. We hung out, ate some Mexican food, and caught each other up on our weekend.

This was his view for the weekend.


Last night, after work, I went to see Justin play at The Billboard & Pepsi Summer Beats Concert Event. The line-up included: Gloriana, Jana Kramer, Easton Corbin, Jerrod Niemann and Randy Houser. It was lots of fun.

It’s National Wine Day…Let’s Do This!!

Workout: 550 Rep Workout (around 30mins) + 25mins of Yoga

Over 90* out today, so I’m not going to be stupid and kill myself outside.

550 Rep Workout (based off of a workout)11 exercises in this workout and you will do 50 reps for each of them.

1. Backward Lunge Kick Up (25 reps on each leg)

2. Push-ups (50 reps) the worst!

3. Mountain Climber (50 reps)

4. Squats with knee-up (25 on each leg)

5. One Leg Bridge Leg Lift (25 on each leg)

6. Jump Squat (50 reps)

7. Jumping Jacks (50 reps)

8. Jump Rope (50 reps)

9. High Knees (50 reps)

10. Jump Rope (50 reps)

11.High Knees (50 reps)

*(ab work was in the yoga part of this workout, that’s why I didn’t incorporate it here)

After work last night, sitting outside was soooo nice.

It included some beverages on the balcony…

And kitty!

Don’t worry, we put him on a leash so he stayed with us.

I love my baby booboo. Haha.

Then we stopped by the opening of the NEW Bar Louie in Nashville. It was alright, we have a couple of them back home, so it wasn’t new to me, but always nice to have new businesses in town.

Lunching on a Saturday

It was already hot in Nashville at 9am, so I had the genius idea to run outside instead of inside on the treadmill. Genius. I might be being dramatic, but 75degrees and 81% humidity will do that to me, but I made it through my usual Music Row loop, and finished a body weight circuit INSIDE!

(100 workout I found in Pinterest, I omitted the 10 minutes of running) It took me 18 minutes to complete, legs were shakin’

I refueled with water, water, tea, and an ICE COLD SMOOTHIE!

It’s a really nice day out, and even though we have plenty of food in the house, we wanted to walk around outside and eat outside.

We headed to 12th South neighborhood, because we wanted to try a new BBQ place, but they were SOLD OUT of brisket…WHHHHAAATT? Oh! the horror! The only bbq I like is brisket and ribs, how could they be out? After I pouted, we walked a bit down the street and sat outside at Mafiaoza’s. I wanted everything so I decided on a little sampler of small plates…meats & cheese.

Ohhh yea…we be cool sitting outside 😉

We had a few errands to run after lunch, now we’re back home and relaxing before dinner time! This is the first Saturday AND Sunday that I have had off work in a long, long time. Feels so good 🙂
