Last night we tried a new place in East Nashville…The Pharmacy. I give it a 10 out of 10!! It’s a really cool burger joint described as…“An old-school burger parlor & beer garden in East Nashville, serving specialty burgers and German wurst. We also host the People’s Republic of East Nashville’s premier selection of craft American and German beer, housemade sodas, floats, shakes, tap root beer, and sooo much more!” If you’re ever in the area, it’s a must try place, and since I’m Austrian, I fit right in 😉
We started off with a round of beers. Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat (might be a new favorite of mine, loved it!) for me and Lucky Bucket IPA for J.
Ready for eatin’
My Lost Coast Tangerine Beer…so good! Not heavy, but full of flavor!
Above their burgers they make sure to include this little tidbit: “Pharmacy Burgers are cooked medium to medium-well. Want it medium rare or super well-done? Absolutely our pleasure! The Pharmacy serves 100% TN beef (or turkey, if you prefer) on a lightly-toasted Provence bun made especially for The Pharmacy.”
I ordered the Mission City Burger guacamole, pico de gallo, slow-cooked black beans, horchata crema fresca. With it, came sweet potato fries and curry ketchup. No complaints, ate all of it minus the bun.
Justin ordered the Stroganoff Burger mushroom stroganoff bechamel, sour cream, caramelized onion, swiss cheese. His came with regular fries, curry ketchup, and garlic aioli, and he ate it all! He loved it. Safe to say, we’ll be back here lots and lots!

nomnomnom…don’t take my food!
Afterwards, we headed to Jeni’s ice cream. They’re based in Columbus, OH and now have two stores in Tennessee. I’m not a huge fan if ice cream, but I would eat their Salty Caramel ice cream everyday if I could.
Good end to a date night
