Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts

Workout: 3mile run on TM (25:14), followed by 20mins of Yoga

Some coffee to start the day..? I’m missin’ me some iced coffee though. A stop at Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts may be in the future. I’ve never been to Dunkin Donuts for their coffee (i know! The horror…!) It’s still SO hot here in Nash 88* as I type.

Munched on the rest of my strawberries after my shower, and answered some work emails.

Lunch was spent at my desk right before I had a 2:30p conference call with my peeps in NYC. I had a bowl of Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato soup. I love, LOVE, love this soup, and I’m not usually a fan of soup at all! This stuff if legit, tho. On the side I had a slice of mustard, roast beef, and havarti cheese (unpictured because I ate it too fast). I usually top this soup with black pepper, black beans, sour cream, basil, or whatever else is lying around.

The rest of the day is filled with another work call and some work errands. Hopefully later on tonight I have some fun news to share…stay tuned!

Do you like Starbucks iced coffee or Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee better?

I’ve never had Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee so I can’t make an educated decision πŸ˜‰ I will have to go try! I’ve heard good things about their coffe from many, many people and on other blogs.

Getting ready for June

Workout: 44mins on the TM watching tv…Bethenny Ever After finale

After my workout, I cleaned up really quick…emptied the dishwasher…crap like that. I answered some email while having breakfast, fresh strawberries and 0% Plain Oikos Greek Yogurt. These strawberries smelled amazeballs.

When lunch time rolled around, I ate leftover from last night’s amazing dinner. Today hasn’t been too busy, work wise, so it’s nice ease into the work week after a long holiday weekend.

I can’t believe that on Friday, it’s already June 1st! That’s crazy! I have lots going on in June…birthdays, Father’s Day, flying home for my little sister’s graduation, work events, etc. So, I’m looking forward to it!

Catch ya later… πŸ˜‰

The Neverending Story

I hope everyone had a fun Memorial Day, but now it’s back to the work week…wah, wah, wahhh.

Yesterday, we did some grocery shopping, Β I’m very excited about my coupon cutting and savings! $28.85! Filled up on all the goods, too!

Our Memorial Day dinner was SO good! Started off with some crostini to munch while prepping and cooking. Olive oil, salt, pepper, pecorino, and parsley.

J adding the parsley to the crostini.

I tenderized the meat (beating it!). Seasoned the flat iron steak with salt, pepper, garlic pepper, and worcestershire sauce and let it sit before grilling it. I’m a HUGE fan of flat iron steak, it’s cheap, tender and full of flavor.

FInished dinner…Flat iron steak, sweet potato fries, and salad. Perfect meal.

A few friends came over and THIS HAPPENED…

Yes, we watched The Neverending Story. I still love all the movies I watched as a kid…The Neverending Story, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth and more and more.

What movies are nostalgic to you now that you watch when you were younger?

Puppies at the Pool

This is the happenings of yesterday…

Yesterday’s workout: ran on TM for 35mins/3.8miles

Then I headed out for some pool time with a friend.

It’s been above 90* here all week, so hanging by the pool is a must!

Me and Nicky hangin’ pool side! We had a fun time mingling, meeting new people, and being offered lots and lots of beverages from strangers.

Beverages in the ACM’s coffee cup. So clever and classy.

Doggies were brought out to the pool to have some water and cool off, too! They were so so sweet, I just loved ’em.

Nicky and her new ,press-on, blue, glitter nails..haha ;). So fancy.

I came across this pic on Pinterest (that’s why it’s a oh-so-professional screen shot from my phone. be jealous), and I really, really want to make white sangria soon. It looks so tasty and refreshing!

Enjoy your Memorial Day Holiday and remember all those who have served for us!

Pool Time

Workout: Long, slow run

Pool time today. Laid by the pool and started Fifty Shades of Grey. (Yeaaah for reversed photos, sike). I am loving it so far, but I know it’s a controversial book. Either you’ll like it or not)

Ohhhh…look who joined me, fell asleep and got burnet. It’s lobster-man, and NO I’m not kidding about that. You got burrrrnnnnneeeddd.

For those who emailed and asked, one of my tattoos says “Life is Absurd, but Love is Never Lost“, and I have 3 total. Probably get one more at some point.

Are you reading any good books?

I have the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy and Divergent
